Week 1 of our Gen AI Summer Boot Camp has officially come to a close, and we are so excited to share some of the incredible work done by our students in just 5 short lessons.
Previously, our students had only really used Chat GPT, so we were determined to familiarize them with a wide variety of tools, allowing them to unlock the full power of generative AI.
Image Generation
Our student Kriti learned to write, enhance and refine prompts into Claude, and utilized that knowledge to work with NightCafe to generate beautiful images, like the one you see of the woman above.
Our student Aditi did something very similar, by using what she learned about prompting to create the stunning cherry images with Chat GPT.
Personal Projects
We also taught our students that generative AI is not only something to be used in the classroom or for academic purposes, and that they can actually integrate it into their daily lives. They each had the opportunity to choose something they personally cared about that they were working on and we showed them how to partner with AI to build upon and improve it.
Kriti was working on making a schedule for herself. Using her developed knowledge of Chat GPT, she was able to prompt it to help her and iteratively improve her schedule. In doing so she created something much more structured to follow, demonstrating significant progress in her time management skills. Not only can she follow this, but she can internalize the suggestions it has made for her to make better time management choices herself.
Aditi was working on an environmental awareness project and wanted to take it to the next level. Using her newfound knowledge of Canva AI, specifically Canva Magic Design, she was able to generate stunning visuals that significantly enhanced her presentation's visual appeal. Her work reflects her innovative approach to design and allowed her to exercise her creativity.
For Fun!
Both students also had a BLAST with ElevenLabs learning how to use the text-to-speech tool to generate audio. They created voiceovers for their projects, and just for fun!
